Dull Knives No More With Calphalon SharpIN Technology + Giveaway!

Calphalon Self-Sharpening Knives

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Calphalon. I received product samples and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

Quality kitchen knives are a kitchen essential, and keeping them in tip-top shape should be a top priority. Dull knives are not only more difficult to work with, they're actually much more dangerous to work with. Since you need to use more force to slice or chop whatever ingredient you're working with, it's easy to lose control and cut something you're not intending to -- like a finger or thumb. Ouch!

I'll admit that I haven't been most diligent myself when it comes to sharpening my knives regularly, but that shouldn't be an issue anymore...

Calphalon Self-Sharpening 15-Pc. Cutlery Set

Let me introduce you to Calphalon's new Self-Sharpening Cutlery! The knife block features SharpIN Technology, which means that ceramic sharpeners are built into the slots of the stainless steel part of each storage block to automatically sharpen knives with every use.

Such a simple solution to eliminate dull kitchen knives -- I honestly can't believe this technology is just coming to market! With the simple act of removing and replacing your knives from the knife block, they're automatically sharpened at the correct angle.

Calphalon Self-Sharpening Essential Knives

I've been using the knives from the from the Calphalon Self-Sharpening 15-Pc. Cutlery Set daily, and I have to say I'm totally impressed. They meet my quality criteria, with each knife being made from high-carbon, no-stain forged stainless steel.

They're very comfortably balanced for easy and fluid chopping, and so far, they're still just as sharp as the day I took them out of the box.

Calphalon Self-Sharpening Chef's Knife

I really hadn't noticed just how dull my regular knives had become, but the difference is amazing. Dicing this red bell pepper for my Cheesy Mexican Chicken and Rice Bake (recipe coming soon!) was absolutely effortless!

If you have a few minutes, I highly recommend checking out these knife skills videos on the Calphalon website. I honestly hadn't thought about using my utility knife for dicing my bell peppers, as shown in the video below, but I'll definitely be giving it a try next time.

Right about now you're probably wondering just how much this knife set costs... They're very reasonably priced at $219.99 for the 15-pc. set -- but I've got some great news. One lucky Unsophisticook reader is going to win a set of his or her own!
