Klondike Bar Memories // Win 5 FREE Boxes of Klondike Bars Coupons!

Klondike Krunch Bar

I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central for Klondike. I received free product coupons to facilitate my review, as well as compensation for my participation.

Growing up, there were always two things I could count on when I visited my grandparents: a fresh batch of my grandpa's favorite oatmeal cookies in a Tupperware container in the refrigerator and a box of Klondike Bars in the freezer. They were his favorites, but he was always happy and willing to share. He passed away when I was only 7, but to this day, I think of him every time I share a Klondike Bar with one of my kids.

Back then, it was always the classic vanilla ice cream covered in milk chocolate, but these days there are SO many more flavors available. In fact, there are now 12 different varieties of Klondike Bars, including new Cookie Dough Swirl, as well as Heath, REESE’S, Mint Chocolate Chip, Krunch, Caramel Pretzel, OREO, Dark Chocolate, Rocky Road, Double Chocolate, Neapolitan, and of course, Original.

Klondike Bars

Klondike recently sent me some coupons to pick up a few boxes at the grocery store. While the Original will always be near and dear to my heart, I let my kids select the flavors, and they went for some of the more recent additions. We came home with Mint Chocolate Chip, Krunch, REESE'S and Heath.

Lucky for me, they inherited my grandpa's generous heart, so I got to try all four varieties without feeling like I need to schedule a few extra workouts this week.

And you know what? They're all delicious! My girls preferred they Mint Chocolate Chip, my boys the REESE'S, and my hubby the Heath (his fave candy)! Me, I have to say I'm partial to the Krunch. What can I say? I like to keep it simple.

But I don't rule out over the top, either... And you can bet that next time I'm in the mood for something a little "more", I'm going to pick up a few boxes of the new Klondike Kandy Bars! They're the perfect combination of Klondike Bar and candy bar goodness, available in the following varieties: Mint Fudge Cookie, Caramel & Peanuts, Fudge Krunch, and Cookies & Cream. I don't even know which flavor to try first -- maybe I'll just buy them all and hope that my kids are feeling generous again!

Klondike Bars are available in six-packs and Klondike Kandy Bars are currently available in four-packs at grocery stores nationwide for a suggested retail price of $3.99, making them a budget-friendly ice cream treat, perfect for savoring these last days of summer!

I remember when I was little I had a great uncle who would stop by to visit every so often. He would always bring me a box of ice cream treats and my favorite was always Klondike.

I remember battling with my brother for the last Klondike, i'm still scarred!

  • We didn't have them a lot but it was a special treat when we visited relatives who served them for dessert. Only the original ones, of course, at that time.

I remember hiding one in the back of the freezer behind everything so I'd always get the last one

My sister & went to the public pool in our small town public pool on those hot summer days a long time ago. Our mom gave us money for an afternoon treat--Klondike Bar for me, my sister would buy a cold drink & we'd share.

One oof my favorite memories is eating a Klondike for the very first time. Unwrapping the bar and thinking how ioce it was it was all ice cream with no room for even a stick! I loved the creamy tecture and of course the chocolate shell. It is as good now as it was then !

I remember visiting my grandparents and my grandpa was always so funny and would sing the commercial song and make us laugh while we were eating our Klondike bars! Miss him dearly!

I remember how good the ice cream tasted when I was a kid. We used to joke about what we would do for a Klondike bar.

The mess my toddler made with his first Klondike

LOL... one of my more unique memories is that with the delicious Klondike bar it was so much easier to hide the "evidence" that you ate one.... no telltale sign of a thrown away wooden stick just a little bitty crumpled together wrapper! :)

A favorite yet somewhat painful memory for me was when I was around 5 years old. I received a weekly allowance but wasn't permitted to wander off to the neighborhood store alone. Being very stubborn and headstrong I took a nickel and went anyway. Bought myself a Klondike Bar. It was worth every lick I got from Mama! Man, that was certainly a long time ago cause you can't buy anything for a nickel anymore.

Before my Dad became diabetic, these were his favorite ice cream treats! My siblings and I loved begging him to share on hot summer days!

I still laugh at the memory of me and two of my friends having a contest to see who could eat three Klondikes the fastest. This was after we had enjoyed a night filled with adult beverages, so we were obviously not thinking clearly. My friend Eric won the contest, but all three of us weren't feeling too good after wolfing down so many calories.

My grandfather, dad, and I always had Klondikes during the summer, they always made sure to have them in the freezer when I came to visit my grandparents.

I remember the first time my husband and I tried Klondike Bar, we both thought it was one of the best things ever. The thickness makes it over the top!!!
