What a crazy weekend for college football, huh?!? The Buckeyes had a bye week, but we still watched a number of games throughout the day -- which, of course, required plenty of sustenance.
Since we weren't hosting friends this weekend, we decided to keep our game day eats super simple.
Kroger had an amazing deal on pork shoulder roasts this week ($1.49 per lb.!!!), so I made my Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Sliders. You just can't go wrong with this easy, inexpensive and delicious recipe!
While I'd normally prepare one of our favorite dip recipes, I decided to pick up a small veggie tray and a fruit tray that was marked 50% off -- score! We rounded it all out with a bag of Kettle Chips and a bag of my favorite Simple Truth Natural Sweet Potato Chips.
This was more than enough food for our large family, all at a fantastic price. In fact, we had enough left over that our busy Monday night meal is taken care of, as well. Love that!

Be sure to check your Kroger ad to see which pork cut is on sale in your area this week. Depending on your Kroger region, you'll either still have the $1.49 pork shoulder roast sale or you may have a $1.79 boneless pork loin sale -- great prices on both cuts!
