Grilled Crockpot Ribs

Grilled Crockpot Ribs

Who'd have guessed that the BEST grilled baby back ribs I've ever had started in a slow cooker? It's true, this grilled crockpot ribs recipe produces fall-off-the-bone tender ribs! Toss them on the grill for a few minutes and you have the best of both worlds...

Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 8 hours
Total Time 8 hours 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 racks baby back ribs
  • 2 tablespoons pork rub
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce

Instructions

  1. Rub each rack of ribs with about 1 tablespoon of the pork dry rub, and then cut each into 3-4 portions.
  2. Add the apple cider vinegar to the crockpot, then layer each portion of ribs in it and cook on low for 7-8 hours. I recommend using a liner to avoid sticking.
  3. Remove the ribs from the slow cooker and grill over high heat. Cook for about 15 minutes or until you reach a nice char, brushing with your favorite BBQ sauce (try this honey chipotle glaze!) and turning frequently.

Notes

You may also cook the ribs in the crockpot on high for 4-5 hours.
