These 4-ingredient carrot patch dirt cups are seriously adorable and super easy to make! Orange chocolate covered "carrot" strawberries are nestled in snack size chocolate pudding cups and then surrounded by crushed Oreo dirt. This simple dirt cup recipe makes for an Easter dessert or snack that kids will LOVE...
Melt the orange candy melts in a double boiler. (See: DIY double boiler if you don't own one.)
Holding a strawberry by the leafy green part, dip it in the melted candy and twirl it so it's completely covered. Set on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet to cool.
After all of the strawberries have been dipped, pour the remaining melted candy coating into a ziploc bag and snip off just the end of one corner. Drizzle lines over the coated strawberries to give them a carrot-like appearance.
Set aside to cool completely.
For the Oreo dirt cups:
Remove the cream center from about 12 Oreo cookies. Place the chocolate cookies in a Ziploc bag and crush them completely with a rolling pin.
Peel the foil lids off of the chocolate pudding cups.
Spoon a thin layer of the Oreo "dirt" into each pudding cup. Place one of the strawberry "carrots" in the cup, and finish by spooning additional Oreo dirt around the carrot to make it appear as though it's planted in the ground.
