So I've already mentioned my trip to Walmart HQ in Bentonville, AR several times, but I have one last post to share from my trip. While I was there, we also had the opportunity to head over to the Sam's Club test kitchens for a quick video shoot.
If you're following me on Instagram, you may have seen this photo that I shared back in October. I'm always so fascinated to see all of the behind-the-scenes work that goes into even such a short video.
We even had Sam's Club chefs prep all of the food for us so all we had to do was smile pretty and present the recipe! Wish I could have brought one of them home with me...
I was asked to prepare the warm & creamy bacon dip featured in the Walmart Holiday Entertaining Guide on camera, and let me tell you, this is a super tasty and versatile dip! Of course, bacon makes everything better, but when you pair it with cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese and a smattering of green onions, well, it's pure heaven.
This recipe would be perfect for holiday gatherings! Take a look at the short video below to see just how easy it is to prepare. And just so you know, if I'd known they were going to be shooting closeups of my hands, I would have totally gotten a manicure...
See? So simple and easy -- my kids could even mix this up for me! You could serve this delicious dip with a crusty baguette, as pictured above. Other alternatives are flatbread, pita chips, crackers, or veggies. Leftovers (IF you have any) would be fantastic as a baked potato topper!
Ingredients:
- 1 pkg. (8-oz.) cream cheese, softened
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup chopped green onion
- 1/4 cup chopped cooked bacon or bacon bits
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degres.
- Combine all ingredients, and spread mixture in a 1-quart baking dish.
- Cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 25-30 minutes or until hot.
